Gloster Meteor F Mk.4 RA487
Another bit of an outing with Pat to the Hagg Side Meteor today showed that the wreckage pile has grown (click on the picture for notation showing which bits are new)
Usually wreckage piles just shrink as the anoraks take bits home, never seen one grow before!
Anyone know what these new bits are, and where they came from?
It has been suggested elsewhere that these have been added to the pile "by curious walkers", but I've been to the site several times before and searched the vicinity from various directions and I've never seen them (or indeed any other substantial scattered bits) before. Apparently they were already there last June.

Avro Anson Mk.XI NL185
A nip out onto Kinder with Pat today, to look at a number of sites. We found that the engine from this Anson has been moved a fair distance, and fallen into a hole.
It looks from stream-bed damage like it has been rolled to this new position to me, but it isn't definitive. Unless someone wants to own up?

Overexposed search party account
I've had a few requests to publish the account I was given of the search party which went up to the "Overexposed" wreck site.
Before downloading the scans of the pages (just click on them), please note that the material is both potentially distressing and liberally salted with profanity.
The quality is equal to what I was given.
I have had correspondence since putting these up of similar looking reports for a couple of Welsh US aircraft wreck sites which turned out to be fakes. I'm firming up on provenance.

New Book
Met up with Pat Cunningham today, to discuss his new book amongst other things.
He gave me a copy of a harrowing (and F***-heavy) account by servicemen of the first visit to the crash site of "Overexposed".
I'm in two minds as to whether to put it up on here. Comments?
