Vickers Armstrong Wellington Mk.IC DV718

An outing with Steve and Mick yesterday finally located the main site for the elusive Riggs Moor Wellington on a fine clear snowy day.

Was the snow hiding the majority of the wreckage, or has the site been looted of the huge bits of geodetic which can be seen on Richard Allenby's site?

Snowy Bleaklow

A trip up onto Bleaklow on Tuesday in a foot of snow with my six-year-old to the Superfortress found it with no obvious looting.

It was a popular walk, despite closed roads from Buxton to Glossop which prevented plan A, the Sykes Moor Blenheim.

There were another half-dozen people there, who beat me the the site, probably because they weren't accompanied by a little girl.
