A long trek in (as usual at this location) foggy conditions yielded extensive scattered wreckage from this crash near Ashfold Gill Head on Gouthwaite Moor in the Yorkshire Dales.

We went in to this one from Ramsgill, (the nearest drivable point) on both occasions, but there are no public footpaths. The top of the moor looks like access land, but the local landowners do not make it easy to get on top...
So I take it were not going to be welcomed with open arms? The plan is to head there sat morning and camp the night at the site. I have no interest in trophy hunting. Do you know any history on this wreck. Or ant sources to find out any? Many thanks.
Click on the "more info" link in the post for history. No-one shot at us, and we met beaters up on the top. Once you are on top you are probably OK. Getting on top is what they make difficult....
Oh that's ok then how much of the wreck is still there and what is the rough mileage of the walk.
The photo shows the biggest chunk of a good scatter of wreckage.
Distance all depends where you start from, the route you take and how quickly you find it.
You have better coordinates than we had, so I doubt it'll be more than eight miles...
